Rolex Airking 14000-M second-hand watch from 2004, a 34 mm self-winding watch with black baton index dial and enhanced with superluminova for the luminescent surfaces. The Rolex Air-King 14000-M is a vintage watch with so-called modern technology: automatic winding watch with sapphire crystal, waterproof case.
Historically, Rolex at the end of the eighties will modernize its best seller the Air-King ref. 5500 because the combination used on this reference for more than twenty years is beginning to have had its day... in 1989 to replace the Air-King ref. 14000 is born and is equipped with modern standards. Not only does the Air-King 14000 bring sapphire crystal to the classic watch collection, but also the brand new in-house movement, Caliber 3000.
In terms of design, the Air-King 14000 retains the line that made it successful: it will remain one of the most discreet Rolex watches. the airking will keep a 34 mm stainless steel case, will also retain its dial with timeless lines and its famous steel Oyster bracelet with its folding clasp. At the dawn of the 1990s, it was most certainly the first unisex rolex watch since it was quickly worn by women who appropriated it to make it the standard of women's watches in the 2010s.
From a technical point of view, the reference 14000-M marks an evolution of the movement which passes from the Rolex 3000 which equips the 14000 model to the rolex 3130 movement with thirty-one jewels which will equip the 14000-M in the year 2000. A movement manufactured entirely by rolex and which beats at 28,000 vibrations per hour, is equipped with a balance bridge and a Breguet hairspring. Its power reserve is extended from 42 to 48 hours compared to the previous rolex 3000 model. Its resistance to shocks and thermal amplitudes is also improved.
