Citizen 8110 flyback chronograph watch. With its brown leather strap, the rare gold-coloured model worn by Brad Pitt in Quentin Tarantino's film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. A watch that has become a great classic of cinema as the film's success was so great in the first weeks of its release.
An eponymous collector's watch from the Seventies with an atypical case shape in the shape of a bull's head, also called Bull-Head, a case shape very popularly at this time. The cushion-shaped case is of intermediate size and can suit all female or male wrists. This vintage collector's watch is a Citizen challenge timer 8110 bullhead panda dial with black auxiliary counters from 1976—when motorsports were in vogue.
The movement that drives the citizen bullhead 8110 is calibre 8110, a twenty-three jewel mechanical movement that winds automatically. It is a high-quality movement based on the C-8110 column chronograph movement. It should be noted that this version of the movement has a Flyback function.
It is a movement that has a power reserve of 48 hours. Its operating speed, worthy of Haute Horlogerie movements, is 28,800 vibrations per hour. A watch worthy of the greatest calibres of manufactures of our time. When it was launched, this watch was intended for the watch segments dedicated to motorcycling and motorsports competitions.
Proud of the immediate success of the bullhead when it was launched, the Japanese brand communicated a great deal in these universes, which explains why towards the end of the 1970s, it was common to notice it on the wrists of many bikers, fashionable personalities and big names. Figures of post-seventies rock—an invitation to relive these years of celebration.
